Wooldand Hills is one of the largest neighborhoods in the San Fernando Valley encompassing two zip codes, 91367 covering the northerly part and 91364 covering the southerly part. This Woodland Hills map depicts the boundaries of Woodland Hills.
Woodland Hills is a large, well-established, thriving community in the San Fernando Valley. It is a hub of entertainment, recreation and economic activity. Many large businesses such as Zenith Insurance, Robert Half and Health Net, Inc. are located in Woodland Hills' Warner Center which provides a nice alternative to Downtown Los Angeles. The Warner Center has multiple high-rise office towers as well as many low-rise office buildings serving the office space needs of local, regional and national companies doing business in the greater Los Angeles area. The Westfield Promenade anchored by Macy's and AMC theaters and the Westfield Topanga shopping mall which was fully renovated and expanded in 2008 at a cost of $330 million are the largest enclosed shopping centers in Woodland Hills. Westfield Topanga is anchored by Nordstrom, Neiman Marcus, Macy's, Sears and Target and offers recreational activities for young children including a carousel, arcade and rock park. Its new food court offers high-end fares that has made it a very popular dining stop for shoppers and diners alike.
The Woodland Hills housing market started to recover in 2012 with the average price per square foot of sold units steadily improving with major gains made in 2013. With the recent significant rise in interest rates, the market appears to have cooled although demand is still very high and inventory is still constricted.
Woodland Hills houses vary from smaller 1,200 square foot homes built in the 1950s to large, more luxurious multi-million dollar estates south of Ventura Boulevard.
Many public schools in Woodland Hills provide an excellent education and are ranked high in performance.
